Bravo! the progress from last night was incredible seriously...
I didn't get to see the very beginning of the show but I want to make sure that all of the opening characters in Baltimore are distinct. Have lots of fun with them. MOVE through the space and make the city come alive ... think about creating the Tracy Baltimore relationship.
Transitions from one moment to another need to be in character, choreographed, timed and funny or emotional so that they drive the story and keep the audience engaged. You guys have really great instincts so trust your self. NEVER actually look like you don't know what is happening even if you don't know what's happening.
I really saw all of you guys thinking, feeling and choosing throughout the show and that is fantastic. Keep working. Really live in the moment and you guys will create magic on stage.
Shout outs to Prosper, Mario and Wesley tonight. I could see that you guys took your notes from last rehearsal and worked through the show. So much improvement. The nicest kids had some great moments - keep working. I have some ideas for the Dirty Boogie scene - I want to work some of those with ya'll tomorrow. Also, the hiney sqeeze from Prudy was hysterical. You can't do it for the junior high kids but that was really funny. Lets work some specific comedy bits throughout the show.
